We understand that the replacement for this Global tourney will be a series of Area meetings of the highest standard - my personal opinion is that these will not have the same cachet: "World Champion" has a neat ring about it, and no more will we be able to applaud a girl or boy standing at the top of a podium as the undisputed #1 in the world at their event and in their age group.
