And then it's going to be six days of intense competition among the finest athletes under the age of 20 years. Be sure to get the latest details of teams announced and the current crop of stars likely to shine in Tampere Finland from 10-15 July.
The IAAF is posting reports daily and sometimes more than once each day as all of those involved with the World U20 Championships make their ways from every corner of the globe.
Will we see records improved or even smashed? Will favourites succeed or be thwarted in their bids for gold? Will there be outstanding youngsters going on to become the future Olympic and World senior champions?
